Spider Monkeys can be found in the regions of South America, Central America, and Mexico. They live in tropical rain forests. The average life span of a spider monkey is 27 years in the wild and 30 years in captivity.

Fun Facts:

  • The Greenville Zoo is home to 3 Spider monkeys, Selma, Jasmine and Mojo.
  • Spider monkeys use their tails to hang from tree branches and their arms and legs to grab food items from other branches.
  • In the wild, they break branches and throw them at intruders.
