Princess & Pirate: Save the Frogs Day

Princess & Pirate:
Save the Frogs Day

Saturday, April 30 • 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
This annual event is designed to raise awareness of the rapid disappearance of frog species worldwide and features educational activities and frog-inspired arts and crafts. As a special twist, children ages 12 and under who attend the event dressed as a princess or pirate will receive half price admission. Princess and pirate characters will also be strolling the zoo grounds!

Also, April 25 is DNA Day, the anniversary of the day the structure of DNA was published by Watson and Crick. In honor of DNA Day and Save the Frogs Day, the Clemson University Life Sciences Outreach Center will help zoo patrons isolate DNA from strawberries and learn how DNA information has revolutionized many fields, including species identification and conservation. DNA is helping us save the frogs!

Brunch from 9:00 am – 10:00 am
Enjoy a delicious brunch, take photos with your favorite princess and pirate characters and meet one of the zoo’s animal ambassadors! Brunch is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Purchase Brunch Tickets
