Boo in the Zoo

Join us for the Greenville Zoo’s annual family-friendly Halloween event for children ages 12 and under, featuring trick-or-treating, fun-filled booths, an extinct species graveyard, a princess castle with characters and an un-haunted house. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone is invited to come in costume.

Memory Wall

Many of our guests attended Boo in the Zoo as children, and are now bringing their own children - and even their grandchildren - to the event!
This year's event will feature a memory wall with pictures from the past 30 years. The public is invited and encouraged to submit their Boo in the Zoo pictures for inclusion on the wall. Each family can submit up to five photos, and each submission must include the family's name and the year the photo was taken. Photos can be emailed to Please note that the zoo cannot guarantee that all photos will be used.

    *If you want your infant (age 2 and under) to trick-or-treat, you must purchase a child’s ticket. If not, please select an infant ticket.

Park and Ride

A free park and ride service will be available to transport attendees from County Square (301 University Ridge) to the Greenville Zoo. Three buses will run continuously between the two locations, from one hour before the event to 9 p.m. Attendees are strongly encouraged to utilize this free service, as parking will not be permitted on Woodland Way (from Cleveirvine Avenue to McDaniel Avenue) or on Woodland Way Circle, and parking in Cleveland Park is limited.
