The Greenville Zoo’s Education Department offers lively hands-on programs sure
to engage your children.
Zoo Tots
Zoo Tots is designed for one parent and their toddler (ages two and three) and
provides an opportunity to discover the fascinating world of animals. Classes
are held in the Conservation Station and combine "on your own explore time" with
a more structured "animal time." Program length: 45 minutes.
2 year olds - 10:30 am to 11:15 am
3 year olds - 11:30 am to 12:15 pm
Program Costs:
SINGLE CLASS: $15 for Zoo Members; $25 for Non-Members
Registration:
Download the Registration Form. All registration forms must be in at least three days before the program date.
Please note that Zoo Tots is designed for one parent and one toddler only.
Siblings can be a distraction to other participants and the program. There is a
$5 fee for extra adults and they can pay that on the day they come. However, it
must be approved by the instructor at least 24 hours before the program.

Greenville Zoo Explorers
Greenville Zoo Explorers is for one parent and their child (age 4 years) and is
designed to meet the needs of a four year old as they continue to discover the
wonder of animals. Classes are held in the Conservation Station and make use of
the whole Zoo campus. This program involves a lot of walking - no strollers
please. Program length: 1.5 hours.
Program Time: 10:30 am to Noon

Saturday Safari
Saturday Safaris meet in the Conservation Station, located just past the ticket
booth. Classes are designed to help children (ages 5-6 or 7-8) discover the
fascinating world of animals and combine a lesson with crafts, activities, trips
into the Zoo and animals in the classroom. Program length: 2 hours

Secrets of Survival
Explore the secrets of survival. Defense strategies such as camouflage, mimicry, and behavior are introduced along with the familiar methods of defense like shells, spikes, poison and venom.
