Homeschool Programs

On select Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year, the Greenville Zoo's Education Department offers lively, hands-on programs sure to engage students as they learn. All programs are 90 minutes in length.
Note: Although topics may be the same for each age group, the material will be age appropriate.
Pricing: Members - $10/per participant per program (or $50 for six programs/$90 for 12 programs); Non-members - $15/per participant per program (or $75 for six programs/$140 for 12 programs)

InDanger – Investigating the Plight of Endangered Animals
From invertebrates to mammals, the loss of various species is occurring throughout the world. Come learn about these endangered animals and the threats to their survival. Find out what you can do to help!

The Fall of the Owls
How did owls become known as wise? Do all owls really only come out at night? How well can an owl hear? What exactly do all owls eat? We will explore the wonderful world of owls and answer these questions and more.

Home Sweet Biome
In the state of South Carolina we have the beautiful mountainous upstate, the rolling hills of the piedmont, and the peaceful low country. But, did you know it’s all the same biome? Let’s learn about the biome in our state and the various biomes around the world and what animals reside in them.

Magnificent Mamas and Daring Dads
Aren’t you glad your parents provide you with a home to live in and food to eat? Many animal parents do the same thing! In the animal kingdom some animals exhibit incredible care over their young by protecting them from predators and teaching life skills while other parents leave young to start life on their own. Discover the importance of parental care in the wild!

Fantastic Frogs
Come learn about the amazing diversity of these happy hopping creatures. We will listen to frogs talk, get up close and personal with several frog species, and explore the various habitats frogs call home!
