Orangutans, which are found in the tropical rainforests of Borneo and northern Sumatra, live to be about 30 in the wild and about 50 in captivity.
The Greenville Zoo has three Sumatran orangutans: Lana (female), Kumar (male) and their female baby, who was born on August 7, 2018.
In 2017, Kumar turned 12 and Lana turned 32.
When orangutans climb, they always have three points of contact.
Considered one of the world's 25 most endangered primates, Sumatran oragutans are found only on the island of Sumatra.
