[ARCHIVED] Brew in the Zoo Tickets Still Available

With only a few days remaining before the annual Brew in the Zoo presented by RJ Rockers Brewing Company, which will be held this Friday, May 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Greenville Zoo officials are encouraging the public to purchase their tickets before the event sells out. While early admission and designated driver tickets have already sold out, general admission tickets are still available for $40 in advance and $45 the day of the event.

Event attendees will have the opportunity to sample an assortment of beers and food, and enjoy live music by Charleston rock and soul band The Dead 27s, all while exploring the zoo after-hours. This year’s event will feature a record 16 breweries offering two beers each, and nine food vendors. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.greenvillezoo.com/brew. Proceeds from the event will help support various programs throughout the zoo, and for each ticket sold, $5 will be donated to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation.

The Greenville Zoo will close to the general public at 4 p.m. on Friday (admissions will close at 3:15 p.m.) to enable zoo staff to prepare for the event and to give the breweries and food vendors time to set up.
