New Water Fountains

Thank you to Grover and Tonya Martin for donating two new water fountains to the Greenville Zoo. You will find the water fountains near Cub Kingdom and the Farmyard. These were a much-needed addition to the Zoo, and we are excited to have them in place before the summer!

Farewell Kiden

This week we said goodbye to Kiden, our Masai giraffe. Her name is South African for “girl born after 3 boys” and is Autumn and Miles’ first calf together. She’s even the first female giraffe to be born at the #GreenvilleZoo! Kiden is also very smart and has been trained to participate in her own veterinary care like voluntary blood draws and vaccinations. She has also been ranked very high for genetic diversity by the Species Survival Plan (SSP) and has been paired with another giraffe at #OregonZoo! While we’ll all miss Kiden very much, she’ll have an important role in conserving her species for future generations. Thank you for supporting the Greenville Zoo by continuing to purchase and renew your Zoo membership. Due to the Zoo's closure, membership cards are not currently being mailed. Rest assured, your membership is being processed, and the expiration date will be extended. All memberships will be mailed one week prior to the Zoo opening.
