Join the Greenville Zoo, Palmetto Basics and a variety of organizations as we demonstrate activities that will help get children outside to learn about science and nature and celebrate the great outdoors! Sponsored by The Palmetto Basics. Free with paid admission to the zoo.

We’re lucky to have such amazing members! Thank you, Greenville Zoo members, for your continued support. Join us for this FREE night of live music, drinks and popcorn, princesses from Once Upon a Dream, keeper talks, animal encounters and so much more.

If you're not a member or need to renew your membership, now is a great time. Members enjoy free or discounted admission to the zoo's education programs, including Zoo Camp, as well as many of the special events. Benefits also include free or discounted admission to over 130 AZA-accredited zoos across the country. Memberships can be purchased at the zoo or online.

Get an inside glimpse of ways the zoo staff use enrichment to address an animal's social, psychological and physical needs. Zookeepers and education docents will be interacting with zoo guests and explaining the process of enrichment throughout the day.

Be sure to check out ScanSource STEAMFARI, a zoo-inspired exhibit at iMAGINE Upstate that will feature interactive displays and hands-on activities, blending ScanSource’s technology with the Greenville Zoo’s life science education.

Take control of a pan-tilt-zoom security camera to spy on “zoo animals” across the falls, see how a snake hunts using thermal vision and learn how zoo experts track animals using RFID technology.

Summer Zoo Camp registration is open!  



Join us as we explore the animal kingdom during Zoo Camp 2019. A variety of activities including animal encounters, games, experiments, crafts and zookeeper talks are in store for campers at the wildest place in town this summer.

5K & Kids Fun Run

Registration is now open for Greenville's only 5K with a loop through the Greenville Zoo!


5K participants will receive a race t-shirt and Kids Fun Run participants will receive a Zoom Through the Zoo medal. All participants will receive a complimentary ticket to the Greenville Zoo! 

Zoom Through the Zoo is a Greenville Track Club Corporate Shield event and is part of an eight-race schedule that allows teams to earn points for both placement and participation in four categories: open, female, masters and grandmasters.
